Marketing
co-operation: This is when
businesses come together to market
together. It lowers their costs and
allows them to do advertising they
could never have afforded before.
For example: Bulk mail is expensive,
but if you take a post card and
advertise multiple business on it
you can reach 4 or 5 times as many
customers as you could on your own.
Take billboards, what about a shared
board with 2-3 business on it? The
cost goes considerably down. Then
you also have the ability to
contract multiple boards over a
group of businesses and get better
rates. All of these are things we
want to examine. Apart we are small
business; together we are a larger
stronger group that can demand
better pricing for our advertising
dollar.
There will be
no cost to be in this group. We will
NOT be selling anything to each
other. This is NOT a networking
group. This is a group that will
share business strategy and some of
the members may co-op market. No one
will be pressed to do any marketing.
We ask that no business sales to
other members take place during any
meetings. It’s great if you find
someone who needs your services, you
can talk to them after the meeting.
This is a different idea. We will
only take one member business per
field. Meaning that we will only
have one landscaping company, one
janitorial company, and one printer
etc. This is so you do not have to
fear sharing your secrets with
competition.
